The Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club is a non-profit organization for the charitable and educational purposes of associating persons who are interested in natural science to work together as an organization in the gathering, displaying, and studying of rocks, shells, jewelry arts, and any kind of scientific objects of interest to the individual and the organization and to promote community interest in these subjects. Learn Lapidary and Jewelry Skills at our Club
class at TBMSC

Classes are taught by experienced and talented volunteer instructors who are club members. Open shop time is also available in the metal smithing and lapidary shops.

Currently, classes are offered in lapidary, silversmithing, fused glass, wire wrapping, polymer clay, bead weaving, chain mail, cold connections, fold forming, and faceting. Cost to members to take our classes is very reasonable. Occasional special classes taught by visiting instructors are more expensive and have included classes in repousse, cold connections and kumihimo.

Our Annual Show: Hot Rocks, Cool Gems, Fabulous Jewelry: October 19 & 20, 2013
2012  Annual Show

Each year the Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club sponsors a gem, mineral and jewelry show and sale as our main fund raising event. Our 54th annual show will be held in the Expo Building at the Florida Strawberry Festival, 2301 W. Oak Avenue, Plant City, Florida, October 19 and 20, 2013.

In 2012, over 40 vendors offered gems, minerals, beads, fossils, tools, lapidary material, jewelry making supplies, jewelry and much more. The live demonstrations throughout the show were very popular, as were the hourly door prize drawings. There was also a silent auction, touch table, grab bags, and magazines for sale. We expect similar vendor attendance and activities for this year's show.

We hope to see you at this year's show, our 54th annual show!
